Positions
This list is provided to help participants understand the expectations for the various volunteer positions, and match their volunteer commitment with the time they have to give. Participation in all performances is NOT required. Volunteers are welcome to fill as many, or as few, positions as they wish, and may fill different positions on different dates.
SET-UP DAYS – These are dates when countless volunteers come to Catamount to paint and build sets, organize props and costumes, maintain trails, and set the stages for the magic of the forest to happen. Come anytime between 10am and 4 pm for as much time as you can give, wear something you can get paint and dirt on, bring tools (cordless drills, etc.) and have some serious fun!
PUMPKIN CARVING DAYS – Help us carve over 1,000 jack-o-lanterns! There’s always a fun contest, free food, and entertainment provided by live broadcast from 95 Triple-X! Please bring your own carving tools. Come anytime between 10am and 2pm for as much time as you can give!
REHEARSAL DAY – 10am – 4pm This is for one day only when the actors, guides, and the technical crew come to familiarize themselves with the trails and scenes. As a courtesy to others participating in your scene or others participating in the show, please make an effort to come! There will be fun acting games and workshops for characters. Please set aside 1 to 1½ hours of rehearsal for guiding and per role assigned.
PERFORMANCE DAYS – days of the show itself, actors get into costumes and makeup, and the technical crew makes sure behind-the-scenes runs smoothly.
